This series of color street photographs explores order in multiple ways. On one hand, the ordering of public space is a topic in many of the pictures. Especially, the orders of modern places and spaces of consumption is very present in the series – be it the Apple sign, an empty McDonalds store or a pile of electric scooters. On the other hand, I explored graphical composition, formal lines and shapes to a much greater extent than in the rest of my work – e.g. the ‘Candid Candy’-Series which focuses much more on colours and playful motives. ‘Order’ was produced at the height of the Corona Crisis from 2020 to 2022, so it may not be a coincidence that graphical minimalism, simplicity and empty spaces dominate here. Except a trip to Ukraine (some pictures are from Kiev and Odessa), the series was mostly photographed in Düsseldorf.
